Notes: |
hail came in 2 pulses. The first pulse had no rain, 3/8" and pea most common, lasting 5 minutes. This was followed by 0.01" of rain consisting of large sporadic drops, presumably melted hail, lasting 2 minutes. The rain transitioned rapidly to the second pulse of hail which on average had the largest hail (3/8") mixed with a variety of smaller sizes, but only a few rice sized stones lasting 4 minutes. all stones were hard and mostly clear, many with white cores. Hail progressed generally WSW to ENE, it appears the bulk of the storm with more continuous hail was to the north of my location. |
