Notes: This was a hard call. Normally I would have considered this sleet pellets because there were no thunderstorms or cumulus clouds associated with this event. However, some of the pieces of ice were larger than I'm used to seeing with sleet. Could go either way. (Then dents on this hail pad were very small and hard to count. There was a big dent in it but I don't think hail is to blame for it. It is unlikely that the dents will really show in the photo.)
