Notes: Very strange. I did not pay attention to the time since i thought it was large "popcorn" snow. I don't know how long it lasted but this form requires me to enter something other than a question mark. I went outside at about 5:00 and thought I saw ice in the snow. I then went to an area overhung by the deck and found many small (between rice & pea) hailstones. Many had a snow shell, but not all. The ones without a shell are hard ice. Never seen it hail before in mid winter, but I have to say this sutff really is hail.
