I was storm chasing but stayed a good safe distance from this storm and only approached after storm left the area and lightning was done. There was no much damage and there were not alot of these hail stones. Took me about 2 minutes to gather a fountain cup full of hail stones. All times are approximate. Location was 46.268196 -106.480607 Which is about 1 to 2 miles west of Rosebud, MT. I called this into the National Weather Service in Billings, MT at approx 7:54 pm local time. Later I found several hailstone larger than I reported to them. |
