Cool day yesterday and in a stretch for this week. The late trees have now started. I have a late tree, a Catalpa, that had the oddest budding: no bud per se, end of each branch suddenly had green burst tip, like someone had painted on an exposed bud for pollination. Never seen the like; as if doing only 1 leaf per branch, right on the tip!! |
