Notes
A variety of precipitation types developed yesterday in association with the low pressure tracking through the region. The day began with rain which then transitioned to a mix of rain and sleet around midday. This mix eventually transitioned to snow which lasted into late afternoon. Additional snow also occurred overnight. The new snow was very wet and prone to melting due to the warm temps, so it was measured yesterday afternoon and again this morning. Overall liquid includes 0.18" of rain (about 0.11" of which was melted snow and sleet that failed to accumulate), 0.11" of sleet equivalence, and 0.26" of snow equivalence. The snow amount of 1.5" includes 0.2" of measured sleet accumulation and brings the overall storm total to 5.5", highest of the season.
