02-20-18: High 68, Low 30 (10:15pm) wind SW, S, W & NW calm-31 mph w/gust 46 mph. Rain & freezing rain 0.91 in gauge. Ice on the gauge was more than 2 sheets of paper thick. Streets are not that bad (ice). TOTAL RAIN 2.77 in gauge. At 2:30am Fox River at Dayton 15.79/flood stage 12. IL River at Morris 20.86/flood stage 16/forecast 24/RECORD 24.80 at Ottawa 468.49/flood stage 463/forecast 471.60/RECORD 472.20 at LaSalle 25.86/flood stage 20/forecast 32.50/RECORD 34.40 all rivers currently rising. Today at 3:30am: temp 29, wind NNW 10-13 mph, dew point 26, humidity 89%, wind chill 20. Normal 38/21. Sunrise 6:43am, Sunset 5:35pm. **The city of Marseilles enacted its voluntary evacuation for the areas south of the Illinois & Michigan Canal and east of Main Street, which includes Mill Street. The village of Utica issued a voluntary evacuation. The LaSalle County Nursing Home evacuated residents Tuesday night. Green Street and Chicago Road and Champlain and Superior streets in Ottawa were closed Tuesday. Dee Bennett Road closed at 8 p.m. Tuesday from Route 178 to Koenig Road near the LaSalle County Nursing Home. (**from Ottawa Times newspaper) **EDIT @ 6:30am**
