Gauge Catch
0.03 in.
Notes
This report is the result of a discontinuity between two distinct snow events. At the time of yesterday's measurement, it was snowing lightly. The gauge was returned to its mount after measurement and had recorded 2 grams of precipitation by the time the snow ended in early morning. After the snow quit, the gauge was remeasured and that .01" of precipitation was added to the gauge catch in this morning's report. The accumulation on the snowboard was too scant to measure and would have been reported as a Trace had the report been made at the time. By noon, all snow had sublimated off the snowboard. Around 2100 hrs. light snow redeveloped and the snowfall and SWE on this report are a result of that snow event. The Gauge captured 3 grams of precipitation and the result was rounded up to .02" That measurement was combined with yesterday morning's .01 to achieve the .03" that is reported here. As luck would have it, power went out as this report was being composed which accounts for its tardiness.
