A quick snowfall (1.6"/0.16 water content) provides little relief to the dry conditions. Very similar to last year at this time when we had zero precip from 11/12 - 12/23, then over 8" on Christmas Eve. I heard someone from NOAA say this only happens every 3-4 years, but were 2 in a row now since there's nothing in sight so far. Area lakes are barely frozen over if at all, and of course we have people breaking through whatever thin ice there is. It has been unusually warm, with another 40's suggested around mid week. Haven't heard what they go up North, but there was supposed to be blizzard conditions with a potential 6+".
