Station Number: MI-AN-25
Station Name: Plainwell 0.5 WSW
Report Date: 6/13/2021
Submitted: 6/13/2021 9:08 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
This was a week of hot and humid conditions with daily hit or miss pop-up thundershowers in southwest Michigan. Some locations received over an inch of downpours, but they mostly missed us and we only received 0.15" of rain. Our conditions continue to be Moderately Dry. Daily low temperatures this past week averaged 68 F (lows ranged from 66 to 71 F) and high temperatures averaged 85 (highs ranged from 78 to 90 F). Ferns and hosta are growing, but these plants and smaller bushes have required watering every few days. My long established yew bushes are showing some browning. Lawns are browning-especially in sunny areas-and grass growth has slowed. The Kalamazoo River is running noticeably lower than usual.
