Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MI-AN-25
Station Name: Plainwell 0.5 WSW
Report Date: 1/24/2021
Submitted: 1/24/2021 8:13 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
This past week finally looked more wintry where we had 0.35" of precipitation coming as 4.9" of snow. Our conditions are bordering between mildly dry and near normal for this time of year because we still far behind in total snow-fall when compared with the average for this date. Temperatures this week did not vary much: daily low temperatures averaged 24 F (daily lows ranged from 12 to 30 F); and daily highs averaged 31 F (daily highs ranged from 26 to 37 F). There has been the usual activity at the bird feeder, but blue jays still haven't been seen in weeks. Strangely we saw a flock of robins in our area, a bird that we rarely see this time of year. Local ponds and lakes have been frozen and more ice fishers are venturing out onto the ice.
