Description:
April 15-21, 2018: a trace more than 0.24 in. precip occurring overnight 4/15-16/2018. Otherwise a few very brief  sprinkles or graupel as storms moved through the valley. A few mornings early in the week with snow on the foothills nearly to the valley floor but melting to about 5,500 ft by afternoon. Windy and gusting with the storms. Many trees have leaves, apples and other landscape or fruit trees are in full blossom. 10°F nights in late winter (after a warm January) froze upper branches on fruit trees which now have no leaves or blossoms. A few nights at about 32°F but warming at the end of the week to upper 30's and 40's. Days warming through the week to upper 50's and 60's. Lawns are being mowed and some light garden watering needed. Frogs/toads were singing at night last weekend but not since. A few bees, bumblebees, and butterflies have been seen on the flowers and flowering shrubs. Mid-range tulips are up and blooming. Instantaneous flow at Boise River at Glenwood gage has decreased over the week to 2,380 cfs this morning. Reservoirs in the upper Boise River basin are 79-89% full.
