Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: CO-LR-1272
Station Name: Estes Park 1.7 SW
Report Date: 6/8/2025
Submitted: 6/08/2025 11:07 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Keeping at Near Normal, though we may be heading toward Dry. Grasses and forbs are doing nicely. Some of the currents are doing fine, others are struggling. The Boulder Raspberry has a bunch of blossoms. Is it healthy, or is it starting to panic? Soil still retains moisture just under the surface. Snow water equivalent of the snowpack is low. 79% of PRISM Normal for 6-Digit HUC (South Platte) and 18% (NOT a typo) of PRISM Normal for 8-Digit HUC (Big Thompson). WYTD (PRISM) for my station is right at 80%. Too early in the month to decide on MTD. Lots of bird activity around. Mostly wrens, swallows, humming birds, and pygmy nuthatches. Rivers are running much fuller this week than last week. Currently not fishing because it is too hard during the runoff. No fire restrictions other than the normal permanent ones.
