The week started off unsettled with clouds increasing on Sunday and some rain overnight into Monday morning. Later Monday morning, thunderstorms moved through with some brief periods of heavy rain. A total of .24 inches of rain fell which was the total for the week. It was in the 80's on Sunday before cooling to a high of 68° on Monday before slowly warming back up. Highs were in the upper 80's to end the week. Lows ranged from 60° last Sunday to a low of 45° on Friday. It was windy on several of the afternoons. The surrounding open areas are continuing to brown despite the rain. The corn and beans are coming up in the vegetable garden and the roses are beginning to bloom. The garden is looking lush. A lot of birds in the garden and saw a yellow swallowtail butterfly on several occasions.  Also, saw some rabbits nearby on my morning walk.
