Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: ID-BK-27
Station Name: Inkom 5.5 N
Report Date: 6/8/2025
Submitted: 6/08/2025 5:51 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
General: We're pretty close to normal for the year. Our 4 year average (Sep to current) for this time of year is 19.114" and we are at 19.05". The strange part of this year is the paucity of wildlife (birds, mammals, insects). By this time we should have been having window strikes and should be working around yellow jackets and box elder bugs. Silent spring.
Agriculture: Looking good...wheat (?) is coming up, though it looks like only about half of the neighbor's fields are planted (likely because of market issues related to the tariffs). Usually nearly all fields are cultivated and planted.
Energy: Yesterday we produced 97.7 kWHR and only used 24.61 kWHR. This is the sweet spot for solar...no mechanical heating or cooling, just production.
Fire: Risk increases daily, of course. Light smoke from Northern Idaho currently.
Plants/wildlife: Again, each bee is celebrated. We've seen a couple of hummingbirds on our flowers, saw an eagle and a kingfisher. A deer yesterday in our area. Elk tracks about 3 miles up.
Water: Again, we're just about normal based on the last 4 years for liquid (and last 25 years for snow).
