We are into a week of 'winter weather' clear and cold (20's)and now off/on overcast with snow flurries, rhubarb and berry bushes budding and leafing out...a little worry about freezing out the berries this year. birds seem to be gathering nesting material and have been back hitting the feeders more than the last few weeks...no migrators yet. No bear sign either-hopefully not for another month as nothing for them to eat. Black tail deer seen more frequently at the road edges.Streams have little water in them and are mostly frozen over. We are coming into the fire season with a lot of exposed dry grass and bushes.
