Indoor humidity approached 70% in all indoor rooms during and after the recent rainstorm. Acquired a small room dehumidifier and placed on floor in affected room with goal <60% humidity. Humidifier collected 1/3 cup of clear watery fluid that was measurably more acidic (pH 6.0 v 8.4), less dense, and less chlorine (0 ppm) than tap water today. Humidity near dehumidifier was 10% lower than humidity in other rooms. Indoor and outdoor humidity today renders the electric dehumidifier unnecessary.
