Although we are receiving light rain and drizzle today, soil conditions remain severely dry. One expensive issue in my own backyard relates to our galvanized sewer pipes.  Because my many plants are seeking water, they tend to seek water from our sewer pipes.  We've had multiple plumbing bills due to pipes invaded by plant roots.
