We got some snow that has helped with soil moisture but it is still dry.  Farm ponds are still getting drier.  lake Ponca is frozen and still about 3ft down.  Kaw Lake is still near normal.  Vegetation is very dry witch has the fire danger elevated.  Wheat fields have benefited from the snow, but the 5 days below freezing has not helped.  Song birds and geese have began to pair up witch means spring is right around the corner.
