This week I received 1.13" of soaking rains evenly spread over the last 4 days. The lawns are growing like mad and are dark green and lush. My garden is now fully planted and off to a very good start. The irises are now blooming and the flowering trees are all done. The pond is overflowing about an inch and the creek is up a little too both very normal for May. Our farmer friends have planted many of the fields and both corn and beans are up and growing in many of the fields. If this week drys up some many of the remaining fields will be planted too. The bird feeders are active and breeding season is off to a great start.
