Station Number: AZ-NV-42
Station Name: Show Low 4.2 S
Report Date: 5/22/2022
Submitted: 5/22/2022 6:23 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
The week started off very warm with light breezes before turning cooler, close to normal, and much windier. The high of the week was last Sunday at 87°. Temperatures stayed in the low 80's until Thursday when they dropped into the 70's. Low temperatures stayed mostly in the 40's with the lowest temperature of the week last Sunday at 41°. The very dry conditions continued with critical fire weather conditions at the end of the week with the strong winds. No precipitation fell this last week. The pine trees are putting out a lot of yellow pollen with it blowing and collecting everywhere. Plants in the yard are looking very good with surrounding wildland areas not showing much change. Smelled a skunk very close by and the birds are still very busy. Seems to be more birds this year. Maybe due to the very dry conditions and water being available to drink in the yard.
