Be sure to report each day, even if you received no rain. Zeros are important information when we look at rainfall distribution.
If you know anyone who is interested in the weather or even just the monsoon, encourage them to become a CoCoRaHS observer. If you know someone in the Rainlog network, who uses the 4" rain gauge, encourage them to join the CoCoRaHS network as well. We can always use more observers and it only takes a few extra moments to report their values to both networks. Currently the National Weather Service ingests the CoCoRaHS observer data and uses our values in local flood advisories and warnings, particularly Significant Weather reports.
