1940 rain, 1946 small hail (1/8 to 1/4"), 1949 strong hailstorm began (mixed sizes up to 3/4"), 1953 back to 1/4-3/8" hail, 1955 mostly rain, 1959 done. The ground was sodden as the final rain melted most of the hail covering. As no hail entered the gauge funnel, I'm guessing we received much more precip than measured/reported. |
