This week, my station received 0.75 inches of rain, up from 0.03 inches last week.  Over the past 4 weeks, my station has received 1.07 inches of rain.  Conditions are currently Moderately Dry.  The rain this week did refresh the plants and grass a bit, but overall they are still looking dry.   Warm and windy weather over the last few days hasn’t helped.   I needed to water my porch plants this week, in spite of the rain.   Trees are still flagging, although it is getting harder to distinguish drought distress from the beginning of fall.  The hummingbirds seem to have left and there aren’t many insects or birds around.
