During the last 12 hours nearly 4 inches of rain has fallen.  The effects of this have yet to be determined but a boat bailing is surely needed.  Mushrooms have been beyond memory.  The freezer is full and foraging discouraged.  The foliage has yet to change and fields are lush and green. Woods work will be impossible until the ground freezes.
