We still have a layer of ice-approx 2"- that refuses to melt.  The new snow of an inch is very slick on it.  The ice layer has been here several days.  Drifts or piles are still lingering.  Some melting has occurred on flat grounds or yards.  When the temperatures reach above 30 degrees, the livestock yards are becoming muddy in the top 3 - 4 inches.  Gravel roads are filled with pot holes.
