Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MN-HN-128
Station Name: Robbinsdale 0.6 SSE
Report Date: 1/24/2021
Submitted: 1/24/2021 7:08 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
A quick weekend storm dropped more snow which brought us to near normal numbers for this time of year. Temps hover in the high teens and 20's, so not much snow melt. Area lakes still have advisories to basically stay off. Several cars, trucks, 4-wheelers are still going through the unsafe ice conditions. Several people have perished. We are experiencing a very mild winter for temps. Uncommon that we have had NO temps below zero yet. As we get to the end of January, our coldest month, I can see a very uncommon winter of NO below zero temps, but I wouldn't place a bet on that. February is crazy for temps and snowfall.
(I am going to suspend most future reports since it is difficult to determine conditions with snow cover. If I see significant snow melt during a week I will report water flow or standing water. Otherwise I just don't know what to keep reporting during these winter months).
