The ground is covered with fresh snow to a depth of 3-6 inches and the ground beneath appears to be frozen. The streams are flowing at normal levels and the ponds are full with a thin layer of ice on the surface. We have seen some fresh deer tracks in the snow. A large flock of geese are making noise on the largest pond. The weekend brought a large influx of visitors to the High Country, however, they all appear to have departed this morning. There are very few people driving on the roads and none are seen out walking. The tubing run and local ski areas have moderate crowds and snow-making is underway.
