With nearly 3 inches of rainfall over the past week, the arid conditions that were developing will be somewhat alleviated.
We did not receive the snowfall that the western portion of our state did.. so we have avoided any drastic driving conditions thus far.
Rainfall yesterday has left water standing(frozen this morning) in low spots of the yard. Watering of winter-vegetables will be not be required.
AGRICULTURE: zero happening right now
ENERGY: usage increasing as temperatures dropping both overnight and daytime highs
FIRE: threat level should be decreased due to recent precipitation
PLANTS: Blooming: eleagnus, saponica camellia, henbit
WILDLIFE: cardinals and chick-a-dees and wrens using the seed feeders
TOURISM & RECREATION: rainfall on a Saturday delayed or postponed some outdoor holiday civic events
WATER SUPPLY & QUALITY: normal
