Continued extremely dry as we end this water year year and the month of September. One of the driest months of September on record. High fire danger due to the drought although we have not had too much wind. final cutting of hay and some other crops but very low yield. The gravel bars in the creek are predominate. Deer are up close to the houses looking for forage. Yards and gardens are dry and leaves and grasses are curled. Many trees may be lost due to drought. Tree leaves are turning brown and beginning to fall with little or no traditional fall color.
